Mr David Manasseh Tashi is the Project Officer of the Ecosystem Sustainability Network (EcoSusNet). He is a graduate of Mass Communication from the prestigious University of Jos, Plateau State. He is a journalist with passion for environmental and science reporting.

Tashi Manasseh David is the “voice against stagnation,” reaching out to over 6000 school children through school sensitizations and mobilizations on climate literacy and basic education.

As a highly passionate educator, advocate for youth inclusion,community development, and sustainability, highly regarded climate leader, author, and transformational leader. He embodies the skills, integrity, vision, and drive to become one of the most prominent and inspiring youth leaders.

Tashi is a young change maker in his community that mobilized young people to take climate change action through sensitization and awareness creation in Primary and Secondary schools.

As a community leader he rendered community development services to the host community of the place of his primary assignment. Some of these services include renovation of a block of four room students’ toilets that was dilapidated for over six years at Government Girls Day Secondary School Janyau, Gusau, he donated 100 texts books on climate change to 5 schools through the “Save the Earth: Donate Book Project and planted 100 trees through the “Green School Tree Planting Project in Six Schools.One of his most proud NYSC CDS projects is Climate Change Education Programme which granted him an opportunity to participate alongside 50 youth delegates across West Africa to attend the 4th edition of Presidential Youth Mentorship Retreat organized by the Olusegun Obansanjo Youth Development Center where he got access to one-on-one mentorship with His Excellency President Olusegun Obansanjo GCFR the former President of Federal Republic of Nigeria

He was awarded Youth Literacy Ambassador for demonstrating leadership and advocacy capacities to influence others and mobilize them to take action to reduce illiteracy rate worldwide by the World Literacy Foundation.

He attended the “Teach for SDGs” intensive learning aimed at deepening understanding of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) and was awarded a certificate of excellence as an SDG Ambassador.

He was selected as one of the delegates to represents Nigeria and Africa at the Education Ministers’ Summit organized by MOCK COP International.

He is a Graduate Member of Nigeria Institute of Management and awarded a management profiency certificate.

He’s the recipient of several local, national, and international awards, which include but are not limited to the following:

a. Outstanding Fellow of the Climate Leadership Fellowship 2022 Cohort for his outstanding performance and innovative teaching approach deployed during the adopt a school section of the fellowship program by Climate Smart Nigeria (2022)

b Climate Ambassador Award for demonstrating leadership and influencing others in the community to take climate action by Climate Leadership Fellowship (2022)

d. Award of Excellence by Zyia Christian Publishing, LLC Florida USA for exhibiting excellence and creativity in creative writing and digital storytelling and writing in the 360 life coaching and creative writing Africa cohort (2022).

e. Transformational Leadership Scholarship Award by the Coalition of Students in Governance, an Initiative of Upsurge International (2021)

Mrs. Rejoice Ojonugwa Musa is the Gender and Social Inclusion Officer of the Ecosystem Sustainability Network (EcoSusNet). She is a visionary leader and advocate for environmental sustainability and gender equality. With a degree in Philosophy, she has leveraged her critical thinking skills to drive innovative solutions to climate change and women empowerment.

Rejoice has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s strategy and direction. Her passion for environmental sustainability led her to volunteer with the Climate and Sustainable Development Network (CSDevNet), where she has been a vocal advocate for climate justice.

Recognizing the disproportionate impact of climate change on women, Rejoice has pioneered women empowerment initiatives as a key strategy for building resilience. Her innovative approaches include capacity-building training for women and girls in forest-dependent communities, focusing on alternative livelihoods such as fashion, confectioneries, bush mango harvesting, and fish farming.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rejoice demonstrated her adaptability and leadership by training women and youth in the production and distribution of nose masks and hand sanitizers. Her dedication to gender equality has led to significant impacts, and she continues to champion gender concerns in everyday operations, pushing for greater attention and action.

Rejoice’s work has inspired countless individuals, and her commitment to sustainability, gender equality, and climate justice has made a lasting impact on her community and beyond.

Apollos Ochidali
Apollos Ochidali

Mr. Ochidali Apollos is the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer of the Ecosystem Sustainability Network (EcoSusNet). He also volunteers at Climate and Sustainable Development Network (CSDevNet). Apollos is also the founder of Potiskum Climate Change Initiative (PCCI) where he built over four years of experience in climate advocacy, environmental sensitisation, digital activism and program management.
Apollos has his first degree in Mathematics Education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria He is nearly completing a master’s in Mathematics Education at University of Jos, Jos, Plateau State. Also, He holds a first-class in National Certificate in Education in Computer Science from Federal College of Education (Technical) Bichi, Kano State, Nigeria, where he received Dean’s Award for two consecutive years.
Apollos has demonstrated his expertise and knowledge in his field by writing articles at both the international and national levels. This highlights his ability to communicate complex ideas and insights to diverse audiences.
Apollos has a proven track record as a writer, with three articles to his credit, including one international publication and two national publications. His writing has reached a broad audience, showcasing his expertise and thought leadership in his field.
He is passionate about climate change and imparting excellent knowledge to the younger generation. Apollos is a critical thinker, physically fit, morally sound, and emotionally balanced.
