On June 19 2024, Ecosystem Sustainability Network (EcoSusNet) spearheaded a campaign rally at Potiskum LGA Yobe State in commemoration the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence.

The event drew hundreds of supporters, survivors, and advocates united against sexual violence.

Sexual violence affects us all, and it’s our collective responsibility to prevent it.

We must break the silence, challenge harmful norms, and create a culture of consent and respect.

EcoSusNet is committed to mobilising communities, supporting survivors, and advocating for policies that promote a violence-free society.

Mrs. Musa Rejoice who led the campaign rally emphasised the organisation’s commitment to mobilising communities and supporting survivors.

“We will continue to advocate for policies and programs that prevent sexual violence and promote a culture of consent and respect,” she said.

“Together, we can make a difference. Let us march forward, united in our quest for a world free from sexual violence,” she added.

The rally featured survivor testimonies, performances, and a solidarity march.

EcoSusNet also launched a statewide awareness campaign, which will include community outreach, advocacy, and support services for survivors.

Yobe State is a crucial front in the fight against sexual violence, and EcoSusNet is dedicated to leading the charge.
